THE DANNY LEARY VARIETY EXTRAVAGANZA

Comedian Danny Leary (Logo Network, MTV, here! TV, Animal Planet) and his brand new variety show will celebrate the release of Patti LuPone's Memoir in the plush new Copper Room at the comedy nightclub Comix on September 30th at 8:00 PM.

The evening will include a review of LuPone's book from comedian Lisa Kaplan and an interview with Ben Rimalower (Joy, The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches.)  Also featured on the eclectic lineup will be television star Kate Hodge (She-Wolf of London, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, and national spokesperson for Citracal,) actress Erika Amato in a scene from Next to Normal, sports journalist Ted Rybka, comedian Brooke Van Poppelen (Comedy Central), and vocalists Karen Mack, Angela Shultz and Maureen Taylor. Comedians Jessimae Peluso and Selena Coppock will compete for the title of the first ever "Official Danny Leary Spokesmodel" in a swimsuit and evening gown phase of competition that will be judged by Haasan Morse, CEO and founder of Morse Code PR.

Under the musical direction of Kenneth Gartman, "The Danny Leary Variety Extravaganza" is accompanied by "The Danny Leary Band," with Gartman on keys, nightclub entertainer Terese Genecco on drums and Grammy Award winner Skip Ward on bass.
