Kenneth is originally from Snyder, Texas and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. He completed his studies at the University of North Texas, in Denton.
Kenneth has music directed numerous productions, recordings, showcases, concerts, and cabaret acts in NYC and in theatres throughout the country. Some credits include the NYMF (New York Musical Theatre Festival) production of The ToyMaker as well as two prior readings and demo recording featuring Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Zachary James (The Addams Family). Award-winning FringeNYC production of Trouble in Shameland starring Evita's Florence Lacey and subsequent cast recording. Before moving to NYC, Kenneth enjoyed a successful conducting career in Texas. He has conducted church choirs, community choruses, and school choirs as well. His choirs from Coppell High School in Coppell, TX performed at Carnegie Hall on The Final Concert of the Millenium - December 1999.
Kenneth is in great demand as a vocal coach in NYC. His students have appeared in Broadway shows such as Spring Awakening, Tale of Two Cities, 13, The Lion King, Annie Get Your Gun, The Boy From Oz, Gypsy, The Full Monty, La Boheme On Broadway, The Music Man, and Jane Eyre. Before moving to New York, Kenneth had a successful teaching and conducting career in Dallas, TX.
Kenneth began his career as an accompanist at the age of 12 when he accompanied the choirs at Snyder Junior High School where he also attended. He worked as a church musician throughout junior high, high school, and college. Kenneth has played piano for vocal and instrumental recitals, choral concerts and competitions, church services, opera and dance rehearsals, auditions, and musicals internationally. He has accompanied singers such as The Irish Tenors, Jesus Garcia (Met Opera Winner), Claudia Waite (Met Opera Singer), and Elizabeth Keusch to name a few. Kenneth has played on concerts in some of the countries finest concert halls from the Meeyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, TX, to Bass Hall in Fort Worth, TX, to Carnegie Hall in New York City. Kenneth began his professional singing career performing with the Ft. Worth Opera Company. He also sang with a number of professional ensembles and appeared regularly in leading roles with the TX Gilbert & Sullivan Company. He later moved to NYC to pursue a career in musical theatre. Kenneth is an international performer. He sang on a live broadcast of Simply Sondheim for the BBC presented at the Opera Ireland Fringe Festival in Northern Ireland. He also performed throughout Ireland in A New York Songbook: Way Off Broadway with Music Theatre Ireland. He toured the USA in the National Tour of The Music Man. Kenneth has recently discovered a passion for the art of cabaret. He is in the process of putting together is own show which he plans to perform in 2009. Kenneth is the artistic director and co-founder the singing group Dacoda.
